Murphy’s Pigs are an eight piece Celtic Band from Brisbane, Australia and have quickly established themselves as a force in the Celtic music genre, and experts in the art of organised chaos.  These purveyors of fine Celtic music have been labelled by their peers as irreverent, dynamic and  passionate.  If The Pigs had to define their music it would be best described as 'Retro Celtic' – classic Celtic music from the folk revival era of the 60's and 70's with a sprinkling of some of the more contemporary stuff to keep it interesting. 
Irish, Scottish, Australian, Breton and Galician – they play it all.  Corporate functions, festivals, ceilidhs (dances), weddings, clubs or pubs – they play anywhere.  Guitars, fiddle, flute, bagpipes, banjo, percussion and rich vocal harmonies combine to provide a powerful, distinctive and unforgettable sound. 
Embraced by their audiences, their music is enhanced by the enthusiastic participation of those lucky enough to secure themselves a stool at the bar.
