WELCOME
Murphy's Pigs is a nine-piece Celtic band from Brisbane, Australia, and has gained a reputation for its passion, energy, irreverence and popularity as a sought after festival act. The band has performed at the world's largest Celtic festival - 'Festival Interceltique' in France, the Woodford Folk Festival, the Australian Celtic Festival, the Gympie Music Muster and many other local festivals, tattoos, cultural events and corporate functions.
Their music has received airplay in France, on ABC Radio, 4BC, 4MEB, and FM2CBD. Irish, Scottish, Australian, Breton and Galician music- they play it all. Guitars, fiddle, flute, bagpipes, banjo, percussion, keyboards, mandolin and rich vocal harmonies combine to produce a powerful, distinctive and unforgetable sound. Embraced by their audiences, their music is enhanced by the enthusiastic participation of those lucky enough to secure themselves a stool near the bar.
Once in a lifetime a band emerges from nowhere to redefine the world's perception of Celtic music. This is not that band.
